Privacy policy
Effective 2 October 2026
Dozy does not collect any data. There is no account, no backend, no analytics, no ads and no third-party SDKs. Everything Dozy knows is stored on your iPhone and stays there.
This policy covers the iOS app "Dozy: Cozy Pet Alarm Clock", made by Idan Rokach.
What Dozy stores, and where
Your alarms, the missions you chose, your streak, your progress calendar, your acorns and your burrow decor are stored on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. We have no server, so we never receive any of it.
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, the app's data may be part of that backup. Backups are between you and Apple. We cannot see them.
Permissions, and why Dozy asks
Dozy can ask for four permissions. Each one is for a single job.
- Alarms (AlarmKit). So your alarm can ring on Silent, in a Focus, with your iPhone locked and with the app closed. Without this permission Dozy cannot ring.
- Camera. Only for the camera missions: Smile at Dozy (front camera), Open the curtains and Fetch (back camera). More on this below.
- Motion & Fitness. Step counting for the mission Walk Dozy to the kitchen.
- Notifications. The optional bedtime nudge, and the wake-up check question ("Still up?"). Dozy has no notification server.
You can change any of these in the Settings app, under Dozy. If a mission cannot run because a permission is off, it becomes Count the acorns, which needs no permission.
The camera
During a camera mission, Dozy looks at what the camera sees to check the mission: a smile, daylight, or a household object. The frames are analysed on your iPhone and then discarded. They are never saved, and they are never sent anywhere. Dozy does not keep photos or video.
The camera is used only for camera missions. If you would rather not use it, pick a mission without a camera, such as Count the acorns.
Motion and steps
The walking mission counts your steps while the mission is running. Shake Dozy awake and Morning stretch read the phone's motion while those missions are running. This is used to finish the mission and for nothing else. It stays on your iPhone.
The share card
The share card is an image made on your iPhone. It leaves your phone only if you choose to share it, and it goes only where you send it.
Purchases
Dozy Plus is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, your card or your Apple Account details. The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether you own Dozy Plus.
Third parties
There are none. Dozy has no third-party SDKs, no trackers and no advertising. We do not sell or share data, because we do not have any.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and its data is deleted from your iPhone. There is nothing to delete anywhere else.
Children
Dozy is a general-audience app. It does not collect information from anyone, children included.
Changes and contact
