PuffTap Privacy Policy

Your puff data never leaves your phone. PuffTap sends only anonymous app-usage statistics, so we can see which features work.

Your puff data stays on your device. Puff logs, cravings resisted, your limit, baseline, cost and streaks are stored only on your iPhone. They are never sent anywhere.
No account. PuffTap has no sign-up or login, and never asks for your name, email or contacts.
No ads, no tracking. PuffTap has no advertising SDKs, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Anonymous usage statistics. From version 1.1.0, PuffTap sends anonymous usage statistics to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service:
- which ways you log (in the app, widgets, Control Center, Siri): at most once per way per day, never how many puffs
- which widgets or controls are set up
- which screens you open and how long you spend on them
- how far you get in onboarding, the style you pick (cut down or just track), and whether notifications are on
- app version, device model, iOS version, language and region
These statistics use a random identifier that is hashed on your device before it is sent. They are not linked to your identity, not used for advertising, and never sold or shared with data brokers.
Notifications are created on your device and never leave it.
Deleting the app deletes all your puff data. Nothing personal is kept anywhere else.
