Your data stays on your devices
Migraine Detective has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. We, the developer, never receive your health data, your attack log or your location. Everything is stored and analysed on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
What the app stores on your device
- The attacks you log: times, pain level, symptoms, medication, suspected triggers and notes.
- Daily summaries read from Apple Health with your permission: sleep duration, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, menstrual flow days and headache entries.
- Daily weather summaries (pressure, temperature, humidity) for your area, and a coordinate rounded to about one kilometre that is used to request them.
This information is kept in the app's private storage on your device. It is included in your own device backups (for example iCloud Backup) under your Apple Account, which we cannot access.
Apple Health
Health data is read only to calculate patterns on your device. If you allow it, finished attacks are written to Apple Health as Headache entries. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties. You can change access at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.
Location and weather
If you turn on local weather, your approximate location is requested once and rounded. That rounded coordinate is sent to Apple's WeatherKit service to fetch weather history and forecasts; Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy. We do not receive it.
Purchases
Premium is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. We may receive anonymous, aggregated sales reports from Apple.
Reports you share
The doctor report PDF is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them — or from anyone.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Erase all my data in the app, or delete the app. Entries previously saved to Apple Health can be removed in the Health app.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: idanr391@gmail.com.
